TWO SHOT DEAD UNKNOWN NUMBDR OF LIVESTOCK DRIVEN AWAY IN BANDITRY ATTACK AT KISERIAN BARINGO SOUTH

Two people have been shot dead in latest banditry attack at Kiserian location of Baringo South.The yesterday  evening attack saw a 10 year old boy and his grandfather shot by bandits who drove away unknown number of livestock.
The 10 year old boy who died on the spot was shot on the head and arm while the Grandfather was shot on the stomach and died moments later due to heavy bleeding.
Following the attack, tension remains high in Kiserian as some of the residents have started to flee their homes.
The rampant insecurity in parts of Baringo  South area of Arabal,Kasiela,Mukutani,Chemorong’ion and kapindasum has been on the rise as bandits have been ambushing and attacking residents despite heavy contigents of police deployed in the area.
The security operation seemed to yield no fruits as the bandits are well conversant with their vast terrain,disadvantaging security operation since they can’t flush them out in the valleys and bushes where they hide after they stage an attack.
According to Leshan Leshupan,a youth leader who accompanied the bodies to Baringo  County morgue said the two shot dead were herding and were on there way home when the fateful incident met them,he noted that the tension in the area is high.
One of the relatives of the victims said it was painful loosing members of the same family,The grade four boy who are currently on holiday was in company of his grandfather when they gun thirst bandits came striking
The latest incident bring to four the number of people killed,a month ago a Kdf officer and a 60 year  old man were shot dead while 8 months old baby and mother seriously injured in mukutani area of Baringo South.
The Government and multi agency  security organs to restore peace in the volatile area of Baringo  South is yet to yield fruits since  independence, currently the security operation is done in Laikipia,Samburu,Tiaty and Turkana Counties.
