Earnings figures reports showed that adjusted net income at Uber was $1.75 billion in the second quarter, more than half of Ubers’ $800 million earnings in 2016.
Gross bookings doubled to $8.7 billion in the recently ended second quarter, as the number of trips rose to about 150% as from 2016.
Uber has been working hard to improve its relationship with drivers and riders after being hit with controversies that led to the resignation of Travis Kalanik, Uber’s former CEO.
