UDA MEMBERS DEFECT TO ODM

A cross section of UDA members who were supporters to a parliamentary candidate have ditched the party in favour of ODM party in Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition.

The 180 defectors from Nyaribari Chache also vowed to support James Kenani, of ODM as the alternative parliamentary candidate.

George Morara claimed they resolved to jump ship and vote for Kenani so that he could win and continue with  his sound leadership  of assisting orphans among others.

The candidate had prudently managed area  CDF for the benefit of the residents when he was its chairman , he added.

Kennedy Momanyi claimed they will elect  Kenani to spearhead construction of roads and  avail water to homesteads.

But Tom Alex criticized Kenya Kwanza coalition’s motto ‘’Kazi ni Kazi’’ and claimed  it was misleading and that  some jobs could be unacceptable.

Receiving the  defectors at Keumbu,Kenani remarked their move had strengthened  his support base and the  coalition a head of the August 9 elections.

He ,however, petitioned the electoral  body to conduct  free,  fair and transparent   polls to avert eruption of violence.

According to him, provision of a manual register at each polling station could resolve   voter  identification hitch  should the bio metric kit fail.
