UEFA Champions’ League: Bayern humiliate Tottenham 7-2 at white hart lane

Round two of the UEFA Champions’ League Group stage encounters kicked off yesternight with Tottenham suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich at the White Hart Lane.

PSG continued with their impressive run in the European club championship with a 1-0 win away to Galatasaray.

Quest for the 2019/2020 UEFA Champions League top honours resumed on Tuesday 1st October with 8 round 2 group encounters staged across different venues in Europe.

At the White Hart Lane, last season finalist Tottenham Hotspurs suffered a heavy defeat, losing 7-2 to German outfit Bayern Munich.

Son Heung Min opened the scoring for the home team 12th minutes into the game before Joshua Kimmich equalized for Bayern 3 minutes later with a 20-yard superb strike.

Robert Lewandoski ensured his name was on the score sheet in the 45th minute with a brilliant right-foot finish past Hugo Lloris before former arsenal youngster Serge David Gnabry scored twice to gift the german outfit a comfortable lead.

Harry Kane 61st minute strike was not enough to rally coach Mauricio Pochettinho charges as Gnabry later secured two quick goals within a 5-minute duration to make the scoreline 6-2. Lewandoski 87th minute strike ensured Bayern secured a commanding scoreline away.

Elsewhere Mauro Icardi first goal for Paris Saint Germain ensured they continued with their impressive run securing a 1-0 win away to Galatasaray.

Real Madrid rallied from 2 goals down to secure a 2-2 draw at home to Belgium outfit Club Brugge.

Manchester city reigned supreme at home over Dinamo Zagreb winning 2-0 with Juventus recording a 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

8 matches are lined up for today with Chelsea set to play Lille away as Barcelona host Inter Milan.
