UEFA champions league: Willian’s 77th minute strike gift Chelsea 2-1 win

Chelsea recorded their first win in the UEFA champions’ league this season courtesy of a 77th-minute volley from Willian against Lille at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in France.

Youngster Tammy Abraham opened the scoring for the visitors in the 22nd minute before Victor Osimhen equalized for Lille 11 minutes later. Substitute Callum Hudson Odoi superb cross in the 77 gifted Willian with an excellent chance to gift Coach Frank Lampard his first win in the European top tier club championship. Ajax secured a 3-0 win over Valencia in another group h encounter to top the group ahead of Valencia.

At the Camp Nou Stadium, Barcelona secured a 2-1 win over Italian giants Inter Milan courtesy of a Luis Suarez brace. Mo Salah bagged the winner for defending champions Liverpool at home against Red Bull Salzburg in high scoring Group E encounter.
