Voter registration process enters its final week

The move to register as a voter come August 8th 2017 has entered its final week.

Every aspiring leader has been pushing while urging Kenyans to register as a voter.

To amass huge votes as much as possible, some registration centers were shifted to church compound.

But according to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the target is yet to be achieved with some regions registering low voter registration.

Some of ID holders have even sworn not to register as voters basing their arguments on non-interest in politics while others allude to commitment as the barrier.

Cleaning the IEBC records

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had been accused of creating lop-holes to the ruling government for voter rigging.

Disregarding the claims, the IEBC team said that they are embarking on voter clean-up process immediately after the second window of voter registration closes.
