Wiper Democratic Movement Leader Hon kalonzo Musyoka too made extensive wooing of Mount Kenya by meeting and discussing political, development and 2022 agendas. Kalonzo started the day with a breakfast meeting with COG Chairman Martin Wambora in Nairobi that lasted one hour before addressing the press where the governor invited the Wiper Boss to visit Embu county and the entire mount Kenya with ease and freedom. The Wiper leader with his strong delegation of close to 10 legislators hopped aboard three Choppers to Kirinyaga where the host Governor warmly received them, a meeting that lasted three hours. While addressing the media, the jovial leaders said they have opened talks as Kalonzo wooed Waiguru to join OKA as a principal to not only balance the gender but also give Mount Kenya a voice in the organ.
Waiguru was positive to the idea, saying the OKA approach shows that they value gender and women empowerment in their leadership structure. In the afternoon, the Wiper brigade landed in Chuka, Tharaka Nithi county where a hearty reception met them. Governor Muthomi Njuki and a host of MCAs received the Wiper boss reminding him that he is not climbing the mountain but rather walking home. Muthomi promised Kalonzo that as others are asking for doors to mount Kenya to be opened, Kalonzo’s remain open.
