Watangula vows not to exit CORD

Bungoma Senator, Moses Watangula on Monday spoke about exiting the CORD coalition after a hot argument with Raila, ODM leader to drop his presidential ambition and back him up.

Wetangula rebuffed claims that he was to leave CORD and insisted that he was among the founding members who will remain loyal.

On Sunday, the Bungoma Senator told Raila to step down on grounds that he had tried so many times and failed.

“All we are saying is that Raila is our elder and we do respect him but he has tried many times and failed. He should now let someone else give it a try.”

“He should be a king maker and he will have a special place in CORD once we win. After all, a king maker is more important than the king himself,” Wetangula affirmed.

However, a source privy to the matter in ODM accused Wetangula of being funded by the Jubilee Party to cause disharmony in the CORD coalition.

“We are aware he is funded by Jubilee. Wetangula will go it alone like Simeon Nyachae did in 2002,” the source divulged.

Leaders in the Wiper Party  disclosed that they had other options to take if ODM continues to hint at going all alone in the next election.
