Ronald is the top earning Soccer and sport star in the whole World. According to Forbes, he earned $88 million (£61 million) in the last 12 months.
More than $32 million/£22 million of his income was from endorsement deals with companies like Tag Heuer and Nike. He pockets over $13 million (£9 million) from his Nike deal alone and he also has deals with companies like Herbalife, Castrol, Samsung, and KFC.
The sponsorship deals are on top of his mega-contract with Real Madrid, which pays him $50 million (£35 million) a year in salary and bonuses.
One of Ronaldo’s biggest hobbies is cars. He drives a $300,000 (£207,000) Lamborghini Aventador. He also reportedly owns a Bentley, a Porsche, and a Mercedes, among others. But the superstar is not always careful with the cars. In 2009 he crashed a $320,000 (£221,000) Ferrari in Manchester, where he used to play.
CR7 lives in a $7.1 million (£5 million) villa in La Finca — an exclusive community in Madrid built by architect Joaquin Torres. In 2015 he reportedly dropped $18.5 million (£13 million) on an apartment in Manhattan’s Trump Towers.
He’s also been spotted wearing a $160,000 Jacob and Co. watch — a perk of having an endorsement deal with the company. There are even reports Ronaldo spent £20,000 ($29,000) on a waxwork of himself to stand in his hallway.
Ronaldo’s fame and wealth has made his love life a constant source of media scrutiny. He dated Irina Shayk, a gorgeous Russian swimsuit model and actress. But after five years together, the couple split up in January 2015.
Ronaldo is also a fashion aficionado. In fact he’s just as comfortable in expensive suits as he is in a football kit. He has modeled for Armani, and has an underwear line coming out with designer Richard Chai.
He has always never been appreciated by opposing fans. Once he told the Guardian “I think that because I am rich, handsome and a great player people are envious of me. I don’t have any other explanation.”
Ronaldo proved that he has human feelings and goes through human moments when he cried after winning the Ballon d’Or last year. There’s also his charity work, including a donation of $165,000 (£114,000) to a Portuguese cancer centre and $83,000 (£57,000) to fund a 10-year-oldfan’s brain surgery.
The superstar has highly been linked with return to Manchester United. However, he said that he is happy at Real Madrid but “you never know about tomorrow” for things may change, “This is football.”
And last but not the least, the Real star and Red devils legend said he wants to retire at the age of 40 years!
