The Kenya Union of Journalist is calling on the police to probe thoroughly the alleged abduction of ‘Nation’ journalist Barrack Oduor. The journalist based in Migori County was abducted alongside University student who has since been found murdered.
Speaking to KTN News this morning, KUJ Secretary General Eric Oduor said they are now working with relevant authorities to ensure that Barrack is given protection.
Barrack had been following up on a story of an alleged love triangle between Migori Governor Okoth Obado and the varsity girl, Sharon otieno. She was seven months pregnant.
Ms otieno was a second year student at Rongo University.
Reports say that the two were abducted Tuesday and while speeding away towards Homabay County, Barrack managed to jump out of the vehicle to safety. Ms. Otieno’s body was later found at Kodera Forest. Her body has been moved to Rachuonyo Sub county District Hospital
