When told called upon to come together for a prayer session may be the most difficult things but students at Germantown High School pulled up one of their best moves when they collectively began gathering for random prayers.
Based in Maryland, the school is being recognized for its outstanding dedication to their students.
“Northwest High School was nominated to apply for the award, and then there was an extensive nomination application process in the spring, people from the organization that provides the award came out, visited Northwest High School, visited classrooms, talked to panels of students and staff,” said the principal of Northwest High School, Jimmy D’Andrea
D’Andrea added that nearly 2,350 students currently attend the school.
And the students saw common prayers not only a way of coming closer to the almighty but also a way of taming racist and violence within and outside the school.
