The Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF) is forging a strategic partnership with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to identify and expand opportunities for Kenya’s youth.

The collaboration aims to explore new areas of financing and empower young people to seize available prospects, fostering economic growth and development across the country.

According to the United Democratic Party, the Secretary GeneralSen. Hassan Omar held talks with the Fund chairperson at the Party headquarters in Nairobi.

“The Fund Chairperson, Ms. Fatma Baraya, held talks with UDA Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan at the party headquarters, where they discussed how the party, on its part, can use interactive forums with the youth to publicize products offered by the Fund for them to choose their preferred opportunities,” UDA noted.

The UDA Party, which places significant emphasis on job creation for the youth in its manifesto, has committed to collaborating closely with the Youth Enterprise Development Fund to achieve these goals.

The party’s policies focus on empowering youth by creating a conducive environment for employment, entrepreneurship, and talent development.

“Self-empowerment and talent development are key to the program, and the Fund offers the best opportunities for their financing to grant them start-up capital,” noted the party.

On the other hand the UDA Party will also partner with the Boda Boda Association to ensure the streamlining of the sector that employs thousands of youth across the country.

During a visit by members of the boda boda association to the party headquarters, UDA Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar highlighted the importance of the sector to the growth of the country’s economy.

“Boda Boda Associations and the UDA Party will partner to ensure the streamlining of the sector that employs thousands of youth across the country,” the party noted.

The members of the association urged the Secretary General to advocate with the government for enhanced working conditions, greater accessibility to credit facilities, insurance, and driving licenses.

The Chairperson of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund Hon. Fatma Bakari Barayan, assured the members of the Boda Boda Association of easy access to financing.

Other Fund members who accompanied their Chairperson were Mr. Almaida Aiyabei, Mr.Daniel Mutai, and Ms. Faith Norah Lukosi.

By fostering such partnerships, the Youth Enterprise Development Fund continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering the youth of Kenya and driving the country’s socio-economic development through innovation, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion.
