HINDU SPIRITUAL LEADER VISIT KENYA

Hindu prominent spiritual leader of the Maninager Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Community His Divine Holiness Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is in the country for a six days visit.

The spiritual leader jetted into the coastal city yesterday morning at Moi International airport Mombasa with his entourage on board a Kenya Airways.

He was accorded tight security on his arrival where he was received by Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Community followers.

According to the spiritual leader’s spokesperson Harshad Sanghani,his holiness will be in the county to preach peace and prosperity of the nation and to pray for Kenya and its leadership after the peaceful August 9 general election.

He is also expected to pray about the drought situation in the country, after Kenya, Maharaj will be heading to Tanzania and Uganda.

“Today we are receiving his holiness from India, he normally comes here every year. The purpose of his visit is to pray for Kenya for having a peaceful elections and pray for all elected leaders to have wisdom to run the country,” said Harshadkynar Shangani.

Harshad Sanghani says his holiness message to Kenyans is to see good political stability and live in peace and harmony despite tribe and religious backgrounds.

He said the spiritual leader will be conducting prayers for his followers and giving lectures in various temples in Mombasa.

“His holiness aims at bringing all the people together as we are currently planning to mark 70 years of our first temple in Nairobi. The celebrations will coincide with the Christmas festivities,” he said.

Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadhi Sansthan.

He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
