Here is everything you need to know about Kenyatta University’s 43rd Graduation Ceremony.
Kenyatta University will be celebrating its 43rd Graduation Ceremony for ALL candidates who qualified during the 2016/2017 Academic Year for the conferment of various degrees and the award of diplomas and certificates on Friday, 15th December, 2017 at the Graduation Square.
GRADUATION FEES
The Graduation Fees payable for the various awards as follows:
- Certificate and Diploma – 3,000/=
- Bachelors Degree – 3,500/=
- Postgraduate Diploma – 5,000/=
- Masters Degree – 5,000/=
- Doctorate Degree – 6,000/=
All payments should be made by Friday, 8th December, 2017 to any of the following Kenyatta University Accounts:
- Cooperative Bank of Kenya – A/C No. 011-296-246-1400

- National Bank of Kenya – A/C No. 010-035-915-0801
- Equity Bank – A/C No. 018-029-051-8859
ACADEMIC ATTIRE
All graduands will be required to be in full academic attire during the ceremony. The attire will be issued at respective Schools from Monday, 4 th December to Wednesday, 13th December, 2017 during working days upon payment of the graduation fees.
RETURN OF ACADEMIC ATTIRE
All graduands are expected to return the academic attire by Friday, 12th January 2018, after which a fine of Ksh 500.00 per day will be levied for any attire returned after the deadline.
REHEARSAL
It is MANDATORY that all graduands who wish to participate in the ceremony attend the rehearsal at the Graduation Square on Thursday, 14thDecember, 2017 at 9. 30 a.m. Graduands attending the rehearsal should be seated by 9.00 a.m.
GRADUANDS’ PROCESSION
All graduands will enter the Graduation Square in a procession. The procession will form at 7.30 a.m. with all the graduands lined according to their respective Schools. The procession will enter the Graduation Square at 8.00 a.m.Only graduands who will be in the procession will be allowed into the Graduation Square for the Graduation Ceremony.
TIME
The Graduation Ceremony will start promptly at 8.30 a.m. Late comers will not be allowed into the Graduation Square once the ceremony has started.
