Tana River Politics

Tana River Governor Dhadho Godhana has accused his predecessor Ambassador Hussein Dado who is now the Interior CAS for derailing economic development to the people of Tana River County through financial mess when he served as their Governor.

Speaking in Semikaro Village in Tana Delta, the county chief accused Mr Dado of misappropriating the county funds, leaving them with aSh2.1 billion debt and a baseless administration.

Godhana said Dado’s carelessness had placed the county into a narrow path towards development, dented with disclaimers in its financial status hence snubbed by investors and development partners.

He advised the former Governor to suspend his hunt for votes and embark on a community-to-community apology quest for letting them down in the first term of devolution.

In a quick rejoinder, the former governor Hussein Dado refuted the claims, saying he left in the county coffers enough money to pay the debts.

He dismissed the incumbent governor for lying, dubbing him a failure, who is only trying to use him as a scapegoat.
